REFORMI-liikkeen kansanedustajaehdokas, MV-lehden päätoimittaja Ilja Janitskin on ilmoittanut lähtevänsä ehdokkaaksi vuoden 2018 presidentinvaaleihin.
Ilja Janitskin kannatusyhdistyksen pitää kerätä 20 000 kannattajakorttia, jotta hänet voidaan asettaa presidenttiehdokkaaksi.
Suomen perustuslain mukaan ehdokkaan voi asettaa joko rekisteröity puolue, jonka listalta on valittu edellisissä eduskuntavaaleissa vähintään yksi kansanedustaja tai valitsijayhdistys, jonka on perustanut vähintään 20 000 äänioikeutettua. Ehdokkaan tulee olla syntyperäinen Suomen kansalainen.

Idea on hyvin yksinkertainen.
Kussakin vaalipiirissä kukin reformiehdokas kerää vähintään 100 kannattajakorttia omasta vaalipiiristään (= valitsijayhdistys). Ei ole vaikea rasti. Allekirjoittajien on oltava äänioikeutettuja. Henkilön allekirjoitus on sallittu vain yhteen valitsijayhdistykseen, muussa tapauksessa kyseinen nimi pyyhitään yli niistä kaikista.
Ehdokkaat tekevät kussakin vaalipiirissä yhteislistan (= ”vaaliliitto”), jolla menevät vaaleihin. Valtakunnallisesti kaikki tapahtuu REFORMI.ME -nimen alla.
