Pääministeri Juha Sipilä sai jo tuoreeltaan tylyt arviot talouden asiantuntijoilta maailmalla. Merkittävän talouslehden, Financial Timesin, kolumnisti, taloustieteilijä Martin E. Sandbu, ihmetteli jo v.2015 muiden mukana, millä tajunnalla varustetun pääministerin Suomi onkaan saanut:
Sipilä oli syyskuussa 2015 julkistanut ohjelmaansa Suomen kilpailukyvyn parantamiseksi, nähden ainoan ongelman työvoimakustannuksissa, ja maailmalla naurettiin niin. US toistaa Martin E.Sandbun arviota:
Työvoimakustannusten leikkaaminen on järkevää yrityksille, mutta ei niinkään valtioille. Valtiot eivät harjoita liiketoimintaa. Valtioiden tehtävänä on saada aikaiseksi riittävästi vientiä, jotta tuonti pystytään maksamaan. Suomi on pärjännyt tällä mittarilla ihan hyvin. Sillä oli nousukauden aikana valtava ylijäämä. Se on nyt mennyt, mutta Suomen kauppatase on edelleen nollassa, Sandbu kirjoittaa.Hän huomauttaa, että työvoimakustannukset ovat ”aika huono mittarille millekään, mistä politiikan tulisi huolehtia”. Sandbu korostaa, että työvoimakustannusten leikkaaminen toimii yrityksissä, mutta valtioiden osalta johtaa helposti kotimaisen kysynnän heikkenemiseen.
Sandbu kysyy kolumninsa lopuksi: ”Mutta mitä voi odottaa entiseltä liikemieheltä pääministerinä?”
Sipilän hallituksen karkeat triviaalivirheet pantiin merkille heti kun Juha Sipilä avasi suunsa, mutta toteutuneet teot lienevät ylittäneet karmeimmatkin odotukset. Pikkuyrittäjänäkökulma valtion johdossa… -Huh huh sanoo maailma, mutta Suomessa olemme jo turtuneet? Eikö muuten korkea verotus, jonka eräs juuri on julkisen sektorin *tehottomuus* (=hallinto maksaa enemmän kuin palvelujen tuottaminen), ole eräs Suomen kilpailukykyä ja yrittämisen ankeutta aiheuttava seikka, ehkä duunarin palkkapussia merkittävämpikin.
Sipilän-Stubbin koalitio aloitti ”yrittäjänäkökulmalla”, pyrkien laskemaan palkkatasoa, joka yksityiselle yritykselle on pystyviivan miinuspuolella, unohtaen että valtiolle sen merkitys on aivan muuta. Maalaisyrittäjä-asennetta on myös, että nyrkkipaja kuppaa isoa valtakunnallisesti merkittävää projektia, ja johtavan poliitikon päätöksenteossa on mukana ”maakunnallinen perspektiivi”. Ellei sitten *kyläkunnallinen*?
